Bluefin Tuna, the biggest of the species, migrate through Florida every year on their spawning cycle. There is a window in the year where everyone is on high alert for these monsters. Hooking them is difficult and landing them is just short of impossible. Averaging 400+ pounds, being able to claim a leader touch alone is something most South Florida fishermen will never do.
