Bones are appropriately nicknamed. You see them for a second and when you turn back they’re gone. Pound for pound could be the hardest fighting fish in the ocean. Catching them is an expert game of chess and finding the right balance of bait and tackle changes constantly. Despite averaging 5 lbs., Bones deserve their spot in the game fish category. They are called Bonefish because their skeletal system extends so intricately through their meat that it makes them practically inedible, therefore they are catch and release only.
