One of the smaller versions within the Mackeral family; Cero’s hang out in the shallow reefs and grass patches near shore, lurking around looking for schools of small bait fish. It’s common to have them come up and eat fish off sabiki rigs while bait fishing. Once they show up you can flatline anything small on a wire leader.
